Professor of History at Eastern New Mexico University, Dr. Donald (Doc) C. Elder III shares his expertise on the history of mining in New Mexico and how it relates to other fields of industry and science. About the speaker:
Dr. Donald Elder III, professor of history at ENMU, morning DJ, sports show host and game announcer for the Rooney-Moon radio stations in Clovis/Portales, won first place in the Sports Show category from the New Mexico Broadcasters Association at their state convention for his Valley Furniture Post-Game Show from December 5, 2015, after ENMU’s victory over 17th-ranked St. Mary’s at San Antonio. Dr. Elder had previously won 11 NMBA awards. His sons, Cam (left, celebrating with a root beer) and Brian, joined him at the convention.
